Our collection of Bidjar Persian Rugs are the strongest and most durable of all handwoven rugs.

During their unique production, highly skilled weavers use a special instrument to beat each vertical knot of yarn closely together resulting in the most highly dense and heavy weave possible. Many Bidjars are woven in the wet, as the wool dries, it expands resulting in an incredibly dense pile.

Modern Bidjar Rugs nearly always feature a repeated Herati design throughout the field and border.
