About Persian Rug Co.
Founded by Paul Sacco in 1993, Persian Rug Co. grew from a passion for authentic craftsmanship. During his travels through Pakistan as the team doctor for the Australian Under-19 cricket team, Paul imported his first consignment of handmade rugs — laying the foundation for what would become one of Australia’s most trusted sources for traditional rugs.
Today, we remain proudly independent, family-owned, and focused on sourcing genuine handwoven pieces from Iran, Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan. Each rug we offer carries cultural and artistic value — no machine-made imitations.
