Competition and Consumer Act
For the purposes of Schedule 2 of the Australian Consumer Law, in particular Sections 51 to 53, 64 and 64A of Part 3-2, Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Persian Rug Co.’s liability for any breach of a term of this agreement is limited to: the supplying of the goods or services to you again; the replacement of the goods; or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again.
You must be over 18 years of age to use this website and to purchase any goods or services.
Delivery Of Goods
Physical goods may be delivered by Australia Post and/or other reputable courier companies. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Delivery may take between 2 and 14 days, depending on the delivery option. Damaged or lost orders should be resolved with Australia Post or the courier company directly and we are not responsible for goods that are damaged in transit or not received. Replacement of damaged or lost items is made at the discretion of Persian Rug Co..
We ship to the address you provide when you order. Goods cannot be sent to PO boxes and we therefore require a physical delivery address when you place your order. Please note: if there is no one available to receive the goods and the driver has to return to your address to re-effect delivery, an additional cost may apply.
In such circumstances where you have granted an authority to leave goods unattended, the responsibility of risk and ownership transfers to you upon this instruction and delivery. You agree that we and all our shipping agents, are released from liability for any lost, stolen or damaged goods that are delivered and left unattended in accordance with your authority.
Once goods are delivered, we ask that you inspect and advise us immediately of any issues you may have. We are not involved in nor do we have any liability once the goods have left our warehouse beyond our terms and conditions. We will assist you with any claim you may have against any shipping provider where possible. We recommend you consider shipping insurance for your valuable goods.
Shipping Insurance: We can offer you additional insurance options with your shipping to insure your goods against loss or physical damage to your rugs. Please contact us for more details and a quote.
Returns and Refunds
Persian Rug Co. handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.
We want you to be happy with your online order so we offer a 30 day money back return for online purchases. Contact us to receive a full refund. You are responsible for return packaging and shipping charges only.
30-Day Refunds For All Online Purchases
If for any reason after purchasing from our web site you would like to return your purchase, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving your goods and we will confirm return instructions. All goods must be returned unused and in the same condition you receive them.
Clients must pay for return packaging and shipping. It is your responsibility to ensure we receive the goods and you are responsible for any lost or damaged goods.
We will only process your refund once we have received the goods and confirmed they are in new and unused condition.
Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods
We, at all times abide by the Australian Consumer Law in relation to any returns and processing refunds. We ask that you notify us immediately of your receipt of any damaged, faulty or incorrect goods. We will replace or refund your order accordingly.
