An extremely fine example of its type, handwoven in the South Iranian town of Yalameh using lustrous local wool.
A repeated panel design.Each panel has a diamond shaped latch hook medallion in the centre.
Yalameh rugs are the finest of all Persian tribal weaves.
The colour combination is spectacular, mainly mellow reds, sky blues and corals.
Pure wool low clipped and dense pile on a wool foundation.
