The past week has been hectic for us at PersianRugs.com.au.

On Monday, we landed an air shipment of handpicked Persian Rugs that we received directly from Iran. The consignment contains a full range of collectable vintage and newly woven pieces, all of which are in perfect condition. The pieces were sourced from major Iranian weave centres including Birjand, Tabriz, Isfahan, Nian, Kashan, Hamadan and others.

On Wednesday, just as our staff were beginning to recover from the strains of unpacking our Iranian shipment, we received a full container of beautiful tribal & vegetable dye rugs and kilims from Afghanistan, Kurdistan & Pakistan.

It's always such a thrill to land shipments of hand made rugs from their countries of origin. It can take up to a year of travel and negotiation to source and secure a container of stock. Rugs which are made under our production can take up to two years of weaving time.

If you are in Sydney and would like to drop-in, our entire collection is available for viewing at our warehouse outlet, located at 30 Gordon Street, Rozelle NSW. We are open to the public ever Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 9am till 5pm.
